About us

Our company

Established in 2004 under the name Best Guitar Parts, we began as an online retailer of hardware and electronic components for guitar and bass. We focused on offering high quality hardware, pickups, electronics, accessories and specialty items, making it easier to find the best parts for your instruments and projects, without the hassle of sifting through so many websites selling low quality parts.

In 2007, at the request of our customers, we set up a production facility and began offering OEM services. With over two decades of experience in solid body electric guitar and bass design and advanced manufacturing techniques, our mission became the production of the finest quality necks and bodies for retail customers, small builders, and medium-scale manufacturers. We have since expanded into a larger facility and have been able to increase production for many established builders, as well as help develop new models and products for our customers.

We started offering our first fully assembled instruments in 2011, available direct and made 100% in the Puget Sound, USA of the highest quality woods and components. We also continued to expand our product line, adding more options for both our retail and OEM customers.

Over the years, the demand for high quality, USA-made wood components has continued to increase. So with our focus more on manufacturing and less on hardware and electronic components, we decided to rebrand our business at the beginning of 2018, changing our name to Sound Guitar Works. Under the same ownership and management that established Best Guitar Parts back in 2004, we continue to produce the highest quality custom components and aftermarket upgrades for our customers!
